Credit Card Cases from Debt Collectors
Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC v. Client – Bexar County Justice of the Peace #3 – DISMISSED
A case for an alleged old credit card debt brought by a debt collector resulted in our client’s case being dismissed. We won for our client simply by showing up! The debt collector did not appear for trial, and the judge dismissed the case on May 18, 2017.
Portfolio Recovery Associates, LLC v. Client – Travis County Court at Law #2 – DISMISSED
A case for an alleged old credit card debt brought by a debt collector resulted in our client’s case being dismissed. We asked the debt collector to produce documents to prove their case. When they did not respond in time, we threatened to take them to Court. Rather than fight their mistake, Portfolio dismissed the lawsuit on March 24, 2017.
Midland Funding LLC v. Client – Bexar County Justice of the Peace #3 – DISMISSED
A case for an alleged old credit card debt brought by a debt collector resulted in our client’s case being dismissed. After examining the Midland Funding’s lawsuit, we discovered they filed their suit in the wrong JP Court. Rather than fight their mistake, Midland Funding dismissed the lawsuit on February 16, 2017.
Medical Bills
Hospital v. Client – Williamson County Court at Law #4 – DISMISSED
A case for an old medical debt resulted in our client’s case being dismissed. We asked the Hospital to produce documents to prove their case. When they did not respond in time, we threatened to take them to Court. Rather than fight their mistake, the Hospital dismissed the lawsuit on March 29, 2017.
